Static Line is the OLD of learning how to skydive. This method required a 6 hour ground school prior to your jump but then gave you a parachute jump (from 3500 feet) only. This is not a freefall skydive and has since been replaced by the AFF (Accelerated Freefall) program.  This method is no longer offered as it has been rendered obsolete.
